Best New Free Mobile Games: September–November 2026

Creature collecting, arena battles, cooperative hunts and vampire worlds: four recent free mobile releases to consider, with direct download links and a November 2 availability update.

Looking for new free mobile games to give your phone a fresh start? Our autumn shortlist pairs September’s Aniimo and Pixel Gun 2 with October’s Monster Hunter Outlanders and VAMPIR’s arrival in additional markets. Choose creature collecting, competitive shooting, cooperative hunting or a darker online RPG according to how you like to play.

Updated November 2, 2026. November has only just begun. We have not verified a November launch that meets this guide’s requirements, so this edition recommends September and October arrivals available to consider now. It is not a completed November roundup.

This is a research-based selection using publisher announcements and official store listings, rather than a hands-on review or a scored ranking. The linked US App Store pages list all four games as free with in-app purchases. Store access and device compatibility vary by country; a free download does not mean every item is free.

New free mobile games at a glance

Game Release milestone Best suited to Main consideration
Aniimo September 23 mobile launch Creature collectors and explorers In-app purchases; check device requirements
Pixel Gun 2 September mobile rollout; September 7 full-release date announced Players who enjoy short competitive matches Ads and in-app purchases on Google Play
Monster Hunter Outlanders October 29 official launch date Players seeking cooperative monster hunts Demanding recommended hardware; in-app purchases
VAMPIR October 27 PDT / October 28 in Europe, new-market launch Adults seeking a vampire MMORPG Earlier availability in some regions; spending affects progression

Release evidence and store links appear with each pick below. VAMPIR is included as a newly available regional release, rather than a game making its first-ever appearance anywhere.

September: collecting creatures or breaking arenas

Aniimo: our pick for creature collecting

Aniimo’s distinguishing idea is that you can transform into the creatures you collect. That makes it the most appealing starting point here if exploring a world and discovering companions matters more to you than another competitive scoreboard. Its App Store editors’ notes describe that transformation mechanic, while the developer’s September letter sets September 23 as the mobile launch date, separate from the PC and console release.

Our recommendation is based on that exploration-and-collection premise. We have not tested performance or how comfortable progression feels without spending. The store lists in-app purchases, so try the core experience before deciding whether any paid extras are worthwhile.

Pixel Gun 2: our pick for competitive bursts

Pixel Gun 2 is the more direct choice if you want a match rather than a quest. Its official website describes 5v5 online shooting and destructible environments; the changing arena is the strongest reason to consider it over a conventional static-map shooter. Breaking cover can change the options available during a fight.

The publisher’s September rollout notice announced September 7 for the full mobile release after access opened in waves. This is a September rollout milestone, not a claim that no player had access beforehand. Google Play labels the game as containing ads and in-app purchases. We have not independently assessed competitive balance or the effect of spending.

October: cooperative hunts and a darker online world

Monster Hunter Outlanders: our pick for cooperative action

Monster Hunter Outlanders is the strongest fit on this shortlist if your ideal evening involves teaming up to tackle a large monster. The official App Store listing describes solo exploration, four-player hunting squads and eight weapon types. That gives it a different appeal from Pixel Gun 2’s player-versus-player shooting: the shared hunt is the attraction.

Its launch FAQ gives October 29, 2026 as the official release date for iOS and Android. It also recommends iOS 17 or Android 12 and devices with at least 6 GB of RAM. Those are publisher recommendations, not performance results from Tech-Play. Check compatibility before downloading, especially on an older phone. The iOS listing marks it as free with in-app purchases.

VAMPIR: a conditional pick for adult MMORPG fans

VAMPIR is worth considering if you specifically want an adult vampire MMORPG. Netmarble’s launch announcement confirms expansion into additional countries at 7 p.m. PDT on October 27, which falls on October 28 in Europe. It had already operated in other regions, so its inclusion depends on whether it is newly available where you live.

The trade-off deserves attention: the official store description explicitly connects paying with progression. We would therefore treat this as a niche choice for players comfortable with that economy. The US App Store rates it 18+ and lists in-app purchases; it is not a family recommendation. If cooperative action is your priority, start by comparing it with Outlanders instead.

November: what is actually available now?

As of November 2, our research has not established a qualifying November release for this shortlist. That is a limitation of this edition, not a claim that no free mobile game has launched this month. A pre-registration page or expected release date alone does not establish that a game is playable.

For something to try now, choose Aniimo for creature collecting, Pixel Gun 2 for competitive shooting or Monster Hunter Outlanders for cooperative hunts. Consider VAMPIR if its mature theme and progression economy suit you. A later November revision should add games only after their release and free availability can be checked.

Before you download

Open the official store link on your own device to check regional availability and compatibility. All four picks have in-app purchases; none is presented here as completely free of monetization. We excluded paid upfront games, subscription-only releases and free trials that require buying the full game.
